Fadis

55 years to celebrate the oldest company leader in the production of precision winder machines, still owned and run by the same family!

Fadis was founded in 1960 with the purpose of manufacturing textile machines such as rewinders, soft winders, assembly winders, hank to cone winders, reeling machines, spooling machines and intermingling machines, which are meant to process all types of yarns such as cotton, wool, silk, artificial fibres, synthetic fibres, mixed fibres, intermingled yarns, fancy yarns.

Fadis is present in more than 70 countries all over the world. The last generation of precision winding machines clearly shows the importance we give to innovation, research and development of new models, new products, new materials and new technologies. The 100% made in Italy production is synonymous of quality, innovation and safety, guaranteed by the National Register of Italian Manufacturers.

Through its line of precision winding machines and its “OPEN PLATFORM”, Fadis has dedicated much attention to reducing power consumption and environmental impact. Fadis is one of the promoters of Acimit’s “SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES” project. Here, companies must equip themselves in order to offer solutions that put the reduction of the use of energy, water and chemical products at the heart of the production process. This will lead to a more responsible, careful about consumption and eco-friendly production cycle.

Using latest generation Brushless motors technology with step motors has allowed to reduce the energy consumption by more than 12%, thus emitting far less CO² in the air. Thanks to this saving, the SINCRO range machines consume much less energy than any similar machine now available on the market.

Another fundamental aspect of eco-sustainability is the attention placed on machine dimensions. Thanks to the use of a more modern structural design and of new, lighter and thus extremely compact materials, our machines require less investment in premises, lighting and electric consumption and thus a larger environmental protection of “green spaces”. The very compact design of the new machines allow to increase the available loading in containers by 33%.

Besides developing energetic savings for its products, Fadis also invested in the production process by using the sun as a renewable energy source, thus becoming completely energy autonomous. In fact, a photovoltaic system with 460 kW peak production has recently been inaugurated; its annual production of 650.000 kW allows a reduction of CO2 emissions in the atmosphere equal to 11,6 tons.

Fadis is the only company in the world to offer a complete line of machines specifically studied for preparing yarn for the following dyeing processes, be it in form of bobbin, hank or FAPP™/Muff. We also offer all the machines to wind the dyed yarn. To choose the Fadis cycle (from start to end) represents a great advantage: Fadis becomes the reference partner who can advise and personalise the machines that best fit the customer’s needs.

Thanks to the innovative constructional philosophy called “open platform”, it is possible to create - together with the customer - a machine which fully responds to his technical/production requirements, and which can be modified at any time to meet new market needs.

This constructional flexibility allows the customer to identify - in a single basic model - all the processes he needs, with undeniable advantages with regard to personnel training, maintenance and production organization. Furthermore, it allows to process all types of yarn.

Heusch

The company was founded in 1850 by Severin Heusch. He invented the first machine driven shearing blade, revolutionizing textile processing. For the last 164 years the company kept that momentum and constantly introduced better solutions, optimized processes and new technology.  Heusch shearing products are still the yardstick right up to present day and are the epitome of top quality shearing. Heusch products are suitable for all type of shearing machines and all shearing machine brands.

At ITMA Milan 2015 HEUSCH will give center stage to the next generation of shearing spiral called SIRIUS*. For all textile and carpet manufacturers requiring best-in-class shearing the new Heusch textile spiral is a must have. With this innovative product we cement our dominion in the market for shearing spirals and ledger blades. SIRIUS* is modeled after the principle of the beaver tooth. As with all gnawers the back of the tooth wears off much faster than the front. This is why the tooth always stays sharp. The same applies to SIRIUS*. Utilizing patented technology the working principle is perfected for this next generation textile spiral. The result: Perfect shearing because the shearing unit stays sharp for extremely long time.

Beaver teeth (our role model) consist of two different materials: softer Dentin and extremely hard dental Enamel. Due to their different hardness the Dentin will wear off much faster than the Enamel hence the teeth will keep their sharp bite. The SIRIUS* textile spiral also has two different degrees of hardness. The outer section of the spiral is especially hardened in a unique process, which makes it ultra-hard. The hardness for this section can be selected according to customer requirements. The inner spiral section comes with traditional hardness. The two sections on the spiral function as Dentin and Enamel on a beaver tooth.

SIRIUS* comes in three variations distinguished by hardness of the outer spiral section:

            1.         SIRIUS* Diamond – most hardest variation

            2.         SIRIUS* Titanium – very hard variation

            3.         SIRIUS* Granite – a notch harder than regular spirals

Customer select their SIRIUS* type based on fabric and ledger blade. HEUSCH offers three different types of ledger blades HL, H4 and Polymant to be combined with the SIRIUS* spiral. Together with the customer HEUSCH application technicians and service centers will help to identify THE best solution for your specific requirements.

Komax Sarl

Komax is specialized in the development and production of single screw extruders and coextruders as well as in the configuration of extrusion lines ready-for-use.

Always listening to our customers, we are willing to have the newest technology for our extruders and coextruders. Due to the human environment of our society, we are able to listen and respond to special wishes of our customers. According to that we can develop specific machines und processes as requested.

Komax aligns its development with 3 decisive aspects:

-        Compact machines: space and weight saving is the base of our conception. Our machines feature always more functionality and at the same time a smaller floorprint and less weight.

-        High performance: constant increase of the specific flow volume, adjustment of the screw to the polymer, we try everything to achieve the best results with our extruders

-        Reduced consumption : reduction of the consumption of energy and water through the usage of specific motors, heat insulation, and the systematic usage of electro valves in the water circulation (closed loop control)

Established in 2003 by Sacha Kottmann, Komax became well-known on all 5 continents because of its extruders. At the beginning Komax has been specialized on extruders and coextruders of small diameter with smooth barrel (series Elipse) but soon they developed extruders from diameter 20 mm up to 90mm with the technology of grooved barrel sleeves (series Arc).

Since the beginning of 2006, Komax offers complete extrusion lines for pipes and technical profiles. Originally Komax has been established in the ancient accommodations of the company Manurhin in Mulhouse. But very soon they were increasing and in 2008 Komax moved to Wittenheim, in the surrounding area of Mulhouse, where they established themselves in the ancient accommodations of roaster Warca.

After long negotiations, Komax received the patents right for Helibar ® in 2010, which opened them the doors to the machines with a high flow volume. The series of the extruders were completed in the following years because of the modification of the technology Helibar ®

The series of the single screw extruders and coextruders from Komax consists of 3 series. Each series uses a different technology which depends on the barrel.

-        Series Elipse: Smooth or slightly grooved barrel

-        Series Arc: barrel in two parts with grooved sleeve

-        Series Helibar: monobloc barrel with long helical grooves

To ensure the durability and efficiency of our extruders, we only choose components with an excellent quality and we are particularly careful with the construction of our extruders.

Loepfe

Loepfe Brothers Ltd. started business 60 years ago in 1955. Solutions for weaving mills significantly increased the efficiency of the production systems in the 1960s. WeftMaster provides components for weaving machines such as weft stop motions, short weft detectors, weft thread brakes, projectile brakes, knot detectors, weft feelers, fusible fabrics cutters and yarn stop motions for different applications. The first yarn clearer was produced in 1963 with basic clearing options. The subsequent focus was more on developing and manufacturing optical yarn clearers. From the 1990s onwards, Loepfe played a leading role in providing innovative solutions for spinning mills. Loepfe made a huge step forwards in 1991 with the yarn clearing generation YarnMaster. Loepfe set new standards in quality control with this pioneering first ever yarn clearer for conventional yarn faults.

YarnMaster spinning solution

A new yarn clearer generation YarnMaster ZENIT+ introduced in 2014, focused on state-of-the-art and fastest processors and measuring technology. These innovative technical components allow even more precise yarn clearing and a multi-layered evaluation of the measuring results. 100% online quality assurance no longer implies expensive and lengthy laboratory measurements. The easy to service and easy to operate central unit LZE-V provides a clearly structured user interface. The possibility of allowing experienced LOEPFE technicians to use remote control to check the status of the central unit and to perform software updates when needed improves reliability. Loepfe provides an extremely reliable tool to safely detect even the finest yarn irregularities. Just one

WeftMaster weaving solution: FALCON-i yarn defects sensor

The new WeftMaster Falcon-i introduced in 2014 is an optical yarn defects sensor and an important innovation contributing to knotless weaving fabrics. All conventional knot detectors have limitations in terms of size of yarn defects or knots to be detected. Installing the FALCON-i yarn defects sensor solves the problems faced in manufacturing high-tech fabrics, such as elimination of smallest knots, fluff or even filamentation from the weft yarn.
